Fender ’51 Precision Bass Vintage Reissue OPB-51 (Crafted in Japan) Butterscotch Blonde w/Tweed Case

Up for sale, here’s a very cool Crafted in Japan (2006) Fender 51 Precision Bass in Butterscotch Blonde with an aftermarket Tweed Bass case.

Weighting in at 8.4 Lbs, which is very lightweight for a P-Bass.

As you can see, this is a ’51 Precision with Ash body, black pickguard and upgraded with a Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound Single (SCPB-3) Single coil P-Bass pickup replacement, plus an added Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound (SJB-3) Neck Jazz Bass Pickup which gives you more versatility. The extra cavity, routing and new wiring harness have been made professionally. The control plate has two concentric knob (Vol/Tone – Vol/Tone for each individual pickup). These are great upgrades from the original electronics. Other than that everything else is all original.

The all maple neck has a typical ’50s profile, has no fret wear and truss rod works perfect. The bass is strung with round wounds and it plays great.

These basses came without a case, although this one comes with an unbranded but still very good quality Tweed hard case in great condition.
